  9.              INSTALLATION FROM DOWNLOAD ("ZIPPED" FILE)

  11. Using your favorite decompression software, unzip the contents of 
  12. the distribution file into a new subdirectory named "\herbs." To 
  13. begin, click on "herbs.exe" or enter "herbs" from the DOS prompt.

  15. If you are using Windows 95: 
  16.  
  17. If you unzip the distribution file with a program such as Winzip, a 
  18. program group will be made for you. To start the E-HERBAL, click on 
  19. "herbs.exe." Do not start the program by selecting the "go.bat," 
  20. which is primarily for non-Windows users and for those who run the 
  21. program from a floppy drive.

  23. If you are using Windows prior to 95:

  25. This is not a Window's program. However, it will run just fine in a 
  26. Window's environment. Once you have "unzipped" the program, select 
  27. the "Run" command and open "herbs.exe" (using the path to the 
  28. subdirectory where the E-HERBAL files are located.)

  31.               INSTALLATION FROM DISTRIBUTION DISKETTE:

  33. You can run DR. WEED'S E-HERBAL from your floppy drive. To start 
  34. the program enter "herbs" (without the quotation marks.) It is 
  35. recommended (for speed) that you copy all of the files into a new 
  36. subdirectory on your hard disk (\herbs recommended). See below for 
  37. an easy method to do this:

  39. For DOS:  
  40.  
  41. Place the distribution diskette in your floppy drive. From the DOS 
  42. prompt of your floppy drive (probably A:>) enter "herbs" without 
  43. the quotation marks. From the main menu of the E-HERBAL program, 
  44. select "Clone" and enter the letter of your hard disk prompt. After 
  45. installation, to start the program again enter "herbs" from your 
  46. hard disk prompt.

  48. For Windows:

  50. From the Window's Desktop select the "Run" command and open 
  51. "A:\herbs" (assuming the distribution diskette is in your A: drive.) 
  52. From the E-HERBAL main menu select "clone" and enter the letter of 
  53. your hard disk prompt. To run the program after installation select 
  54. the "Run" command and open "herbs." We recommend that you create a 
  55. "short-cut" to the program selecting the apple icon that comes with 
  56. Windows 95.
